I generally prefer self-checkout because it’s faster, but I will also use cashier if that is faster. I used to absolutely hate the cashiers, because you have to talk to them. But I’ve gotten better at the mandatory “hello,” “how are you?” "have a good day"s as I’ve gotten older.

I just don’t understand why you think it needs to be “fully random” to be called random, when the output is in fact random. To me, when you can ask it the same question multiple times and receive different answers, it’s random and unreliable. You may argue it only changes its answer randomly 10% of the time or whatever- it’s still random. It doesn’t matter if it only answers incorrectly 10% of the time or 5% of the time. Every time the answer is unreliable, because sometimes it changes its answer for no reason.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. There are a lot of things people genuinely don’t want to see in their feeds. Just like there are a lot of behaviors people don’t want you to do in real life. You might really, really want to start belting out Don’t Stop Believing in the middle of the subway train, but that’s annoying.

But the government can’t make you eat correctly. If you want to enjoy eating healthy, it has a cost. That cost includes learning how to cook affordable, delicious, and healthy food. It exists. It can even be made quickly. But you’re not going to magically develop that skillset by osmosis. You have to seek out new information and try new things. If you want to keep doing the same thing over and over, nothing is going to change.

People have a choice. They don’t want to choose to change their diets, embrace healthy eating, and learn to cook delicious vegetables. They want to keep eating a bunch of junky convenience foods, because it asks less of them. When they’re ready to put the work in, they will lose weight.

Riots and economic collapse. Gas gets food to grocery stores, and it gets people to work to be able to afford groceries. If they can’t do that, violence will be imminent. The transition to electric is a generational project.
