You have to act in the reality that exists, not wish for the reality you desire.

You keep building towards the good tracks when no car is coming, but when the car approaches you have a choice. You don’t get to not make a choice. Deciding to not pull is a choice. Deciding to pull in a direction with no tracks is effectively the same choice.
