Default, so no kde yet. Was looking into xfce, any reason you prefer kde?

Why?

I went default with debian 13. Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out why I had no desktop then discovered DEs :).

Thinking xfce. Do you have any other recommendations?

I’ve run a few pi’s in my time so at least I know what I’m getting into :) but let’s see how the distro-jumping goes…

I did have a conversation with someone about bash and shell today, so yeah maybe it has already changed…

I’ll set my timer and count the rebuilds I have in the next 12 months.

It was a toss up between debian and Ubuntu, so I decided to race them against each other in the download window and see which one won. Debian 13 just took the cake! Let’s see how long it stays…

The motivation came from a used robot vacuum cleaner I bought, which needed a Linux system to root/install valutedo. It was the motivation I needed to bite the bullet!

Yeah I can see this being the path. As I don’t game frequently anymore, I can’t see any huge obstacles popping up.
