MLK supported getting less bad segregationists elected during the early stages of the civil rights movement because they were easier to work with, do we still have segregation today? If trans people in sports is the only contention and they agree on everything else, then that’s progress. We can fight on the trans people in sports point next primary. Let’s also not forget that Donald Trump is trying to end Democracy entirely and will oppress more than just trans people.

A streamer who was directly campaigning with DSA candidates and promoting them to their audience. Everyone always seem to leave that part out in Hasan discourse for some reason. To say he’s just a streamer is like saying Jon Stewart is just a comedian or Joe Rogan is just a podcaster. When I used Arch on my laptop, my computer would randomly refuse to boot up at random and I had to manually fix it by booting into the installation media. After switching to Cachy I’ve never had to do that. I don’t know what black magic Cachy had to fix that problem, but I’ve never switched back, lol
It has a customized kernel that supposedly improves performance. Well that, and it actually has a better installer than arch-install imo
I definitely get what she’s trying to do, she’s trying to make a statement of unity within the party that we have a common enemy in MAGA. However, I don’t think she was right person to do this since most people on the very far left decided they’d rather have Trump as president than to vote for “Holocaust Harris”, so I fear this might backfire about as hard as Hasan directly campaigning with him in the primaries. I want to be wrong though

Kinda an inevitably under communism though. If the people who run a communist government stops actually believing in communism after being a couple generations removed from the revolution, what is exactly going to oppose them when they absolute power over their citizens?
Thus why the communist governments we’ve seen end up being contradictory. You could argue that we try to achieve communism by establishing a stateless society like marx adovcated for, but then how is communism going to be enforced without a state? With a state though, they end up being the very upper class that communism seeks to eliminate but this time with a centralized force of power.
Don’t most communists claim they want to eliminate class though? Capitalists enbrace it while communists pretend that their government gets rid of class, so this framing is misleading.
