Italian fashion brands have been becoming under heavy pressure over probes by Italian authorities because of labour abuse and exploitation of Chinese migrant workers at subcontractors’ workshops on Italian soil, where the brands produced some of their products. It’s supposedly easier to produce in China, where labour laws are much weaker and workers’ rights are de-facto non-existent.

This effects not only Gucci but more or less all Italian brands.
