Google tells me that: “HireRight reports social media comments to employers only if the prospective employer explicitly requests and pays for a social media background screening package as part of their pre-employment check”
Anyone in recruiting in the US ever seen candidates not hired because of their social media posts being too pro human rights?

Are social media account connected by email or only if employees connect them manually to other accounts? How do they know what you post?
I know reddit sells api access. Lemmy I’d think would be safer. I’m more wondering if anyone has heard of it actually being used.
