I don;t know where but heard that the "white light" people see when they die, is your brain shutting down. But wouldn't producing "light" require all synapses firing off all at once?

If this is not true then what is the supposed light caused by? Or does the brain just say, “fuck it one more blast and i’m outtta here”?
