Unlike the other guy, I think I might not hate AI enough yet. Anybody got a TL;DW?
The reason (other than fraud and gambling) open AI is projecting 30trilly is that the big problem AI will solve is wages. This is stupid because the economy depends on wages. AI knowledge workers will shrivel, like the industrial Revolution turned artisans into line workers, AI will turn creatives and engineers into a new generation of cogs in the machine designed to generate profit for the rich.
Which is the real problem of AI, it’s owned by the rich so it can never have an emancipatory power only one which further oppresses us.
