One idea I had (and they’ll never go for it) is a sort of food redistribution system: take excess from places with excess food and give it to where there is too little. Obviously, I believe in balanced diets, mandatory exercise, etc. as well, but I believe that food redistribution is also something that might be a good idea because it also helps the issue of food shortages. Obviously there would be logistics (storage, preservation, transportation, etc.) that would need to be worked out, but I believe it is possible.
