Sophisticated is the polar opposite of what he is. His thought process does not extend beyond “They say mean things about me!”
I would have used the words Slimy, Sneaky, or Smarmy before I used Sophisticated, but that’s just me. Maybe David Axelrod is just a bootlicker, who knows.
