Honestly, with the caliber of contractors this fucking clown selects, it will either tear itself down, or will need to be about 17 seconds after competion.

I’m in a relatively high up position, so the audience was the C level types. I find they tend to prefer the AI type responses, mine tend to be a bit information dense.

So, my workflow now is to draft, put it through AI then re-edit to remove the typical AI hallmarks.

It was someone in a higher position than I, and I’m 4 months in to the role. So…

It’s just awful these days. I was presenting the other day with some co-workers. One made a nice looking edit to a slide, but had some typos. I asked for the original since the slide was just a rendered image. The response I got was the prompt they used to generate the slide in copilot “give me an engaging slide using this information…”

I re-drew the damn thing in like 5 minutes myself, but jebus, this is what counts as work these days?

This is so that he can call it a national emergency and bypass all laws, requirements and such.

I keep trying to be seen for therapy, or to get a diagnosis. All they ever do is prescribe me another brain pill that does nothing but gives me hemroids.

Mental health in the US is completely fucked, efforts aren’t made, unless it’s for a pill they can sell you.

This is the kind of existential dangers that AI poses. Not skynet, no rogue AI escaping, no AGI that decides another fate for us… it’s going to happen because of a stupid human mistake as we abandon our critical thinking abilities. One day we’re going to launch a nuke, or blow up something in the wrong country, not AI, us, blindly following the hallucinations of a billionaire’s toy.

I have indeed, I still trust them more than anyone who actually wants to be in politics.

I think the government should switch to a random lottery. Every term a random person is selected from all available and eligible citizens. It would be our civic duty, put your regular job on hold for a few years and do your part.

Most would hate it, but that’s kinda the point. If we all had to eat our own dogfood, we’d eventually start making it taste better.

I miss practical effects. They are just so much more raw. The highly polished CGI that is everything these days is just visually boring to look at. I am not interested in the next flashy gimmick, anything that you can dream up is now possible to show on screen, so the fast paced stupid action doesn’t hit home at all anymore.
