Meanwhile I spent time in highschool trying to avoid Blink. They hadn’t added the 182 yet. Mark’s sister was in my AP art class. They weren’t even the best band in our school.
I’m in my highschool biology class. Teacher† “We have a guest. Hey you. What should we call you?” Guest mouthing “Out there in the cold” Teacher “as per usual we will now ask questions to figure out who they are.” Me “so how long have you been a Pink Floyd fan?” Guest, pointing at mid back “since my hair was this long” Class <confused murmurs>
After every one asks him their questions one person asked me how I knew they were a Pink Floyd fan. I was the only person to recognize what he mouthed.
Things got really weird after that. A day later I went to a yogo class with my girlfriend. The class had a special guest host. It was the same guy. Despite my facial blindness I knew it was him because he had eyes that didn’t look in the same direction.
† she eventually became state Teacher of the Year and one of the first people in America to get gay married
Edit, added “gay”
I’m thinking that even some of the faithful have realized that other than getting rid of the penny, he hasn’t delivered in a beneficial way, any policy. The reality distortion field is fading. The midterms are going to break it even further as Trump endorsements fail to bring seats.
The mechanics of the press pool are that there are five reporters one from each of the major media outlets. Each day one of them is assigned to follow the president around like Natalie Harp Because there’s not enough room everywhere, he goes for all five of them and their equipment. All of the audio is recorded by whoever that reporter is for the day. And all five major networks that are the pool have decided they’re no longer going to take part in what he is calling “the free press ban.”
This is most definitely a boycott. Because after years of his threats they finally figured out they are enabling him.
At the end of the scene he tells them to “Party on, dudes!” with the music.
