Even the oldest stories carry something… After reading enough of them though they are totally retelling of the same stuff (at least most of the ones I’ve perused have been).

Yeah, I loved winamp back in the day, but it’s been a quarter of a century and now it’s primary purpose (the ability to play mp3’s) is no longer it’s primary purpose. If I’m looking for another music player, it’s primary purpose needs to be playing music files, not trying to convince me to sign up for another shitty service.

Thanks for the encouragement! I bought a couple mini pc’s and one server seems fine going from a lot of memory to just 16GB. Now I guess I need to start parting that one out to pay for a more efficient storage server.

I honestly need to learn your ways and sell the rack of stuff in my basement. Right now I’ve got an old R720XD with 12 spinning metal drives and 2 SSDs, then another old Intel box the local government used for VOIP (I’ve only got 7 spinng rust and 1 SSD in there), then the R610 that I use for homeassistant and a few VMs…

I’ve also got a smaller desktop for jellyfin/Plex and an old MicroServer (gen8) for a firewall…

I could 100% save some power I just need to learn what I actually need.
