I’d love to believe this but every time someone makes this claim they never back it up with hard proof, just suppositions and links to conspiracy sites.

Then I wonder if it’s just an effort to continue to undermine the electoral system in the US, but from the other side of the political dichotomy.

Agreed. I learned all about pockets (or lack thereof) early on when my wife and I were dating. I just wish women could have pockets so it didn’t dictate other parts of life as a result.

In context they should be sure, because they’re right.

There was a period where, if you went looking for a “lightweight” Linux distribution as a layperson, everything pointed to Ubuntu. Actually, that period saw Linux and Ubuntu be synonymous to those same laypeople.

It was one of the popular new flavors of the time but anybody who knew to dig deeper would’ve easily found Mint recommended as a truly lightweight distro.

It’s just what’s been done on a smaller scale in all those countries applied globally. Sow division and and create as much infighting as possible.

Most people have probably heard of divide and conquer, but I’m guessing most don’t know anything about narcissistic triangulation, which is what’s going on.

This is how I feel about American cheese, but the real stuff. Not the crap Kraft sells (other than their deli style slices).

A slice of real American cheese melted on anything is amazing!

It’s almost like telling a country full of people how China is this big bad threat and attempting to manipulate their opinion backfires when China doesn’t overtly behave in that fashion towards the US.

The people most threatened by China in the US are the ruling Epstein class and it’s becoming more apparent as the country crumbles from within.

I use self checkout if it’s available. My time is valuable to me and I am able to go through self checkout faster and more efficiently than going to a cashier, so I get to keep more of my time.

I guess we disagree. C’est la vie.

They kind of are. Reporting the facts of events is neither negative nor positive.

The value and impact of those facts is assigned by people based on their own perception.

The coverage is only negative to the administration because they don’t like that the facts of the situation are being shared.

Remember when Ben Shapiro kept spouting “facts don’t care about your feelings”? That was the application of a correct principle in an incorrect manner.

Outside of the editorial and opinion parts, journalism/reporting should be fact-based and present the truth.

When CNN, Politico and MSNBC report the fact-based truth they are presenting the objective reality. The administration assigns the coverage a negative value because it works against their interests. However I, and I assume you and many others, assign it positive value because we are able to stay informed on what is actually occurring.

The coverage isn’t negative, it’s factual. The news items being covered are negative.

The distinction is important because what the administration is actually saying is, “you’re telling people what we’re doing and it’s bad for us”.

It’s always private equity.

You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into in the first place.

I think at least one position argued in a forum like Lemmy/Reddit is not often arrived at through reason.
