Even then it doesn’t have the same effect on the rich than it does on the poor. Rich will often have savings or other assets they can leverage and will mainly have to cut back on luxuries while poor will miss out on essentials.

That description is nonsense though, they weren’t running multiple copies of gpt, it was a bunch of programs maintaining separate context using the same LLM back end. The LLM was just talking to itself in a closed loop generating plausible text each time it got looped back on itself. Saying it got compressed is a generous way of saying it devolved to nonsense.

Retake? They never had it, they’ve always been the also ran behind Nintendo and Sony in sales. Only 360 came close to second place in that generation.

They absolutely can control their agents, they are just choosing not to or are just blindingly incompetent.

It won’t kill us as a species, but its use may lead to disasters that were unintended and didn’t need to happen. Much of the regulation in other industries is due to that kind of thing happening. Worse, the companies making them are trying to get regulation to curtail other parties development for economic advantage rather than regulation on use which will steer the entire industry.

I personally manage my services using ansible, I only set up the actual infrastructure, the virtual machines that run the services, with terraform/opentofu. Docker is one of those in the middle tech between infrastructure and software distribution and it makes more sense to me to treat a service as a role in ansible do I can deploy it (docker, podman package install or whatever), sort it’s networking and handle it’s configuration all in one place. I’m not saying the way you do it is wrong, but this is just a step down the automation rabbit hole.

It doesn’t appear your setup provisions the actual hosts for docker so I guess you are provisioning manually for that layer? That is another area you might want to leverage opentofu for?
