If you interrupt an explanation every 30s, you’ll probably end up getting a worse explanation and understanding of the topic IMO. The constant interruptions will make it much harder for the other person to give a structured explanation and will make it way more likely that they’ll forget some things which they originally wanted to say.

I wouldn’t want to live as one, but I find them a fascinating culture. I’ve seen a few documentaries about them. If I were to ever visit the US (unlikely at this point), visiting some Amish places would be on the bucket list. Being able to talk to them in German would be pretty cool, I think in some regions they even speak a very similar dialect to my region of Germany.
I don’t think we have any similar subcultures in Germany, although the Amish originally came from here of course. A lifestyle like that would pretty much be impossible in today’s Germany for many reasons.

No, because shadow banning isn’t a thing on Lemmy in the first place. Any bans you may or may not receive will be public and in your moderation history.
I said on fediverse the big instances/communities for those topics are (or at least tend to be, I don’t have my finger on either’s pulse and blocked most long ago) run by people obsessed with AI and very eager to defend it.

That’s not the case, it works great with (newish) AMD cards as well.
OpenAI/Anthropic want regulation to make sure they dominate the market and prevent any competition. Nvidia wants no regulation so they can sell as many GPUs as possible and keep driving the prices up. That’s pretty much all there is to this supposed debate about the dangers of AI.
Anyone played it? Is it a good game?
Seems like a great opportunity on PC. No GTA 6 there and no big multiplatform releases either because all of those made way for GTA.
