

The Suits leading the AI-replacement drive just think it’ll be “The ones who didn’t get replaced.” They’re either convinced that AI replacement will be incomplete enough to leave an economic niche for them still, or that they’ll somehow just get in on the replacement profit train early enough while there are still people with money.
If any of them do actually recognize a risk of the population at large no longer having income to buy their products, they’re unwilling to be the “one company” that loses out on the potential profit by doing the right thing, convinced that they would not stop this economic apocalypse but only manage to economically destroy themselves.
Seems like a Tragedy of the Commons situation.

But remember, if you resist by force their efforts to murder you, then you’re “Just as bad as they are” because “violence isn’t the answer.”
