I was not weighing in on whether or not adding advertisements is a bad thing. I was pointing out how flawed your logic is. “Just doing their job” is not a good defense for the job being done.

I believe that the type of people who are “corrupted” by power are typically the ones who seek it. I feel like there are plenty of people who wouldn’t be corrupted by power, but they’re the ones who do not seek power, and thus are rarely in positions of large amounts of power.
