I hope you’re right. That would mean us younger generations managed to right the ship.

If society progresses to the point where my grandkids are condemning me for eating non-lab-grown meat or something it will be in spite of the boomers best efforts - and due to us younger generations dragging them kicking and screaming onto a more sustainable path.

Progress is not an inevitability.

It’s not about what they failed to fix, it’s about what they actively fucked up.

As a voting block, their demographic consistently did the opposite of “Plant trees under which shade you will never sit.” At every turn they sacrificed their children’s future for short term profit.

Boomers deserve their selfish reputation.

I think the illusion of control is a factor. People largely feel in control of their own fate behind the wheel, whereas on a plane you must completely surrender control and trust others to be competent.
