Sure, but Americans are too cowardly to kill the people who need killing
The difference is we don’t make excuses for our history. We don’t go to court to make sure our schools hide it. We don’t call historical fact “anti-Canadian” because it makes us uncomfortable. We don’t mistake national mythology for patriotism.
Canada has blood on its hands. We know. We teach it. We argue about it in public. We dig up the graves.
And if fascism comes for us, our highest political principle will not be keeping ourselves comfortable while somebody else pays the price. We have guns, and ours aren’t just for show.
We know that only one thing ever stopped Nazis- and we will deal with ours while you accommodate yours.
