If a vehicle goes over 25 kph in Germany it’s a moped. You need a drivers license, insurance and registration. So, many imported E-bikes legally require moped rules, but all too few follow it.

That needs to be branded on everyone who demands it of us. They’re your enemy and should be treated as such.

We are lucky to have moved to Germany. When building out our kitchen almost no appliances had “smart” tech features. We just bought slightly upgraded defaults from the kitchen designer and they’re big standard devices. It’s wonderful and normal.

In the upper photo it’s more like 15 people at most. The inefficiency of cars astounding once you actually start paying attention to it. Moving to cars for every transit mode is in the 10 ten worst decisions humanity has ever made.

I have a PhD in IoT technology uses (mostly medical/clinical monitoring applications). My appliances do not have firmware to update. Don’t buy that shit, it’s stupid.

Busses dive just fine when there’s no personal vehicles clogging everything up.

The only time I’ve seen a bus traffic jam is in one of the South American cities. Their BRT system is so popular it’s hitting its own road capacities. The solution is to build higher capacity transit, so they’re working on a metro line to upgrade.

If Texas is any indication, the right wingers just get dumber and keep voting to destroy their communities. 30+ years of single party control there and it just keeps getting worse.

Don’t be so narrow minded! It could also be racism and a nice dash of ‘i hate the poor people’. The feeling of power when hurting others and getting to watch other struggle while the conservative drives past them in a personal carriage might be compensation enough.
