HEY I’m gilokee, a millennial who’s been on the internet since about 2000. Trying to migrate here from the other place. :)
Originally from Washington State, I now live in rural Japan with my blacksmith husband.

Japan loooves AI. It’s so weird since art is so celebrated here. I don’t get it.

I wish Lemmy was more popular. I still use Reddit for niche things; for example, I’m getting a new Pebble watch and I want to see posts about that. Here, the whole community has a small handful of posts. On Reddit there are new posts every day. Sigh!

still relatively cheap calories.
Man, I didn’t even realize there was a way to run it on Linux. I saw some project (in process) for it on Github and was like “whelp I guess it’s not possible” lol.
…I miss Pokemon TCG Online. It worked so well.
Sorry for not actually answering your question lol.
I dated a guy for 13 years, when we finally broke up we were still going to events together!

I’ve been crocheting too! Making a huge granny square blanket. Easy, can zone out or watch/listen to stuff while I do it. It’s kind of cathartic.

Invaluable means valuable? What a country!
:P

And you can get a sketchbook at the dollar store!

There are a lot of Little Free Libraries in most towns these days, too. Take a walk, find a book, read the book, trade the book.

or go to anna’s archive!!

is it not free?? That’s so lame if not.

My junkie eldest brother spent many a night sleeping on my couch, I know how it goes.

You seem nice. Anyway, I lived in south King County and visited Seattle so rent/mortgage was actually not too bad.

Thanks, this site seems very useful!
