I can’t see how you could major in mechanical or electrical engineering online. There are projects, there are labs that you have to do, and that happens by coming in-person and working together as a team.
You’d miss out on so much by doing it online and I’m not sure how the curriculum is formatted

True dat.
Its more about that nuclear can generate a shit ton of energy at a continuous rate.

A combination of the two: Renewables and SMRs.
Nuclear is great but there’s a very small amount of uranium 235 (what is used to instantiate the chain). that’s the biggest issue, I think the relative abundance is 0.5 - 0.9% compared to uranium 238 98 or 99 percent.
Even the efficiency is like 33% where wind is 40 - 60% (depending on on shore or offshore) and solar is 20%. The main appeal here isn’t about optimization, even at the lower efficiency it produces a fuck ton of energy. 92 reactors produce the entire energy generation supply of 17%. There is approximately a thousand gas plants to produce the 40% of US energy generation, and we are talking about combined cycle level efficiencies (60%). If we doubled our nuclear power plant fleet to 200 nuclear reactors, we would generate more energy then the current leader in energy generation. Nuclear power plants produce a shit ton of energy.
The main reason to go with renewables, long term, is it doesnt use limited resources, and that there is still a lot of R&D that can’t be known theoretically, but through trial and error. With wind turbines, for example, there is so much mechanical failure as a result of the torque being generated by the wind, I wouldn’t be surprised if the turbine just breaks off from the base of the windmill.
PV cells also have a lot of R&D going for them, not mechanically, but electrically. The PV cells we commonly use they are generally inefficient because once light passes through the PV cell theres more energy that could be used. There are techniques to combat this issue by stacking multiple solar cells and running it through a wire, but that technique also costs more money.
SMRs I would consider are also the future due to lower upfront cost and maintenance costs, its easily commercializable compared to nuclear power plants (which are designed from scratch).

A processor with integrated graphics is just a SoC it combines both CPU and GPU onto one chip so it has both sequential processing and parallel processing.
What do devs think their doing? Its all sunshine and rainbows simulating game graphics with an engine until you see its all just math. Sunshine and rainbows ruined!
Oh fuck, excel. You could have done it in any programming language and you used fucking excel
Shoot me now, I’ve seen the world at it’s worse.
I never said they were, it was coined by Big Tech.
“All they do is read input text and write output text” Yes that’s what most systems do, they take an input (or multiple inputs) and spit out outputs
the issue I’m emphasizing is that agi, LLMs, overglorified text compression algorithm (whatever you may call it) its unsustainable.
AGI is another coined term often used to differentiate general intelligence AIs (LLMs) and specific purpose AIs such as google translate.
That’s what I mean by AGI, if that explains it. I use AGI and LLMs arbitrarily interchangeably. the thing to note is that I’m speaking of the same thing.
applying Fourier transforms to decompose wave signals of particles. Because, well, particles behave like a wave and are signals: fuuuuuccckkk

wubba lubba dub dub!
SHUT THE FUCK UP RALPH!

I’m feeling like a 6
Hmm, never imagined myself being against that claim.
Some people say ignorance is bliss, I would say it isn’t. For example, by learning engineering it made me loose my jewish faith… and I’m not complaining against it.
what’s worse then knowing everything, being manipulated. for the first 18 years of my life, I’ve been manipulated to believe in something I never understood why. it was my hell.
So yea I’ll take learning analysis, probability, ODEs, fourier series/transforms, any motherfucking day over being manipulated.
