I believe you need a custom ROM to run microG. Something like GrapheneOS, LineageOS, PostmarketOS, etc. Unfortunately my phone is too new and isn’t supported by any of them so haven’t been able to test it. Yet!

Yeah the debloater has an option to restore what you remove! I’d make take some pictures of the exact names of things just to be safe.

Look at Universal Andriod Debloater. Makes it very easy to remove whatever you want.

Your banking apps may not work if you remove Google Play services but i’ve found i can just log in through the browser instead.

Not as convenient but it feels good knowing Google can’t have any of your data.

Vibe coding means giving an LLM access to the entire repository and blindly accepting the very large pull requests it makes after you tell it what you want.

That is an insane way to do development and any company who does it will suffer.

What is becoming normal is AI assisted programming. The developer retains understanding of the codebase and uses an LLM to generate small boilerplate sections because it’s quicker than writing everything by hand.

Using LLMs to write code is perfectly acceptable as long as there is a human understands exactly what the code does. Do not give agency to the AI and you’ll be fine. Let it make decisions for you and you’ll be out of the job pretty quickly.

Online interaction is weird. It’s much harder to understand intent through text than through speech. Do you have irl friends? Could you meet people irl through hobbies/shared interests?

We all die in the end. Living in suffering waiting for it to happen is not a pleasant way to be. Fuck what other people think. If you worked this hard for yourself i think you could achieve a lot.
