There’s even a scene in the Yakuza games where some characters go to a fancy restaurant and the menus are all in kanji. One of them admits he can’t read the menu and the rest of them say they’re having a hard time too. The owner then says it’s common and that maybe he should update the menus to include kana to get with the times.

I figured this must be at least a somewhat common experience if the devs decided to include a scene like that.

Personally, I’ve never changed my mind because of an online post. I’ve changed my mind from articles, papers, documentaries, video essays, discussions with friends and family, but never from a comment section.

First time watching him. I couldn’t get through the video that OP picked. It starts with him saying that everyone seems to think Expedition 33 is some beautiful game but it’s actually shit because the shadows are fucked and the textures are bullshit.

If this guy can’t enjoy Expedition 33 because of details so small he needs to show it by playing them slowed down, zoomed in, and with a red circle around them, I don’t think he can enjoy anything.

Because this is the name and logo of the CILT. Why would someone change it for a meme when they could copy paste it direct from the site? Why would this group not use their own logo on signs?

Interesting that the thread is filled with people saying using AI to make a flyer is fine because the person making the flyer doesn’t have the time, skill, or budget to do anything more than some text and clip art.

Doesn’t that argument literally apply to everything AI is used for? Isn’t AI literally being marketed as the tool to use to do the thing you don’t have the time, skill, or budget to do?

Why does that argument work here but not for everything AI is used for?

Sony gave Kojima $100 million for Death Stranding and it took years for it to break even. His games are cherished, but they’re far from the biggest earners. I’d hate to be the budget guy constantly having Kojima blow up my phone saying he needs another $5 million because he wants a side character to be played by Pedro Pascal.
