I think it’s pretty state dependent for me. Sometimes too much quiet and I can get sad. But too many activities and I can get exhausted. It’s all a balance.

Both at the same time. Busier with the activities i chose, but quiet for everything else.

Basically i need to be somewhat active or mood starts to slip into the negative more and more and eventually can lead to depression, over the course of weeks.

So staying active is rather important, but being active due to activities planned or forced by others gets overwhelming and pisses me off.

We went camping last weekend and I realized why I like it. When I’m camping, I have no cell service so no one can reach me and ask me to do something. All the chores are left at home. I mean yes, you have to cook and clean up, but otherwise once you’ve pitched your tent, there’s nothing more to do. It’s glorious. Sitting by a campfire reading or knitting is the best.

Getting in touch with nature is the most human thing one can do, we have millions of years of genetic memory on living with trees.
