eh, been there done that with a stroller. they make room, nobody gets upset. same thing with tiny roads that are two-way: in America it would be a standstill because “right of way!!”, but in small European towns you move aside because you know you’ll get to where you’re going faster that way
I live in European Small Town™. When I am out and about with my daughter on her bike, I hate those situations. She’s not allowed on the street with her bike, so we need to maneuver around all the tables, customers and waiters crossing. Asking some ten persons to stop their lunch and move tables aside stops being fun, when it’s part of your daily routine. I can only imagine the nightmare having to jump those hoops with a wheelchair.
That’s why I even have that strong of an opinion about this seemingly non-issue 😅
