Productivity isn’t affected in most cases (ymmv obviously). Buuuuut guess who absolutely can’t stand it? Management. They’ll go to the ends of the earth to make sure you don’t get it. Ask yourself why.

You’re not accounting for the emotional needs of management. Many of them are cruel. They put value in making their workers squirm.
