You are alluding to the borderline antisemitic conspiracy theory that Israel was funding Hamas, which is almost true, since they allowed Qatari money to flow in their hands. Israel has not funded Hamas directly, however. Still a bad decision by Benjamin Netanjahu though, in retrospect.
Why was Hamas created?
Hamas grew out of the Muslim Brotherhood, as an uprising to the Israeli occupation of Gaza. Its primary reason of being was to compete against the more secular Fatah/PLO. In contrast, Hamas is explicitly Islamist. Israel again allowed this to happen, which in retrospect was perhaps a mistake. This is also the basis of another rather crazy conspiracy theory, namely that of Israel creating Hamas for some convoluted plot that would allow them eventually to conquer all of Gaza, or something.

I get what you are saying and agree on the surface level. But the Nazis that were tried and removed were the leaders, not all the regular Nazi citizens. And Israelis hate Palestinians as much or more than Nazis hated Jews but certainly more than Nazis hated other Germans. There’s a great quote that you must love the oppressed more than you hate the oppressor, and that framing made a big impact on me. So much of the discussion online about plaestine is centered on Israeli atrocities, moreso than Palestinian tragedy and loss.
I get why, but the important thing is the liberation of the Palestinian people. Hatred for their oppressor is meant to come from hatred of their oppression.

Justice should often include consequences (and does include consequences in cases of genocide), but if you set the goal as retribution you may lose sight of what justice would actually entail. They are not at all the same thing.
And if we’re choosing between justice and retribution, one of those is a better choice that better honors the suffering of the oppressed than the other.

This is another good example of saying “Fuck (country name)” they’re usually talking about the government of that country, and not necessarily the citizens. For example, Russia can fuck right off, but I’d expect that most Russian citizens are decent people who are merely drowning in propaganda. Lots of people are, all around the world.
I take that approach for almost countries, but I have a hard time with Israel because their polls continue to show 80%+ support for the genocide. That’s a huge portion of the population to be irredeemable.
