I just finished my Shawazu game Boy dumper project! I originally got it to rescue my Pokemon before the battery dies, but now I use it to archive my game collection and play it on the steam deck! Building it was fun, but soldering all those little cartridge connections was a bit tricky. I also needed to compile the firmware for the raspberry pico, which I have never done before. So i also learned a lot during the project. Unfortunately not every rom I dump works, and sometimes the file names are gibberish. I’ve read it’s because aftermarket cartridge connectors are not very high quality and I need to really push it against the connectors. Or maybe the firmware got a problem? Needs some more tinkering but it’s a fun project!
