TL;DR It’s copyright.
Apparently the archive’s crawlers have been able to access material that is paywalled in a regular browser and that’s got copyright holders’ panties in a bunch.
Naturally the rights holder failing to properly secure their shit is everyone else’s problem.
Fuck ‘em (the people paywalling stuff).
