I don’t think you can homogenize Americans.

Yes you can, USA is a country, and the government is acting on behalf of the whole population.
That is not about individuals that may disagree on all sorts of things, but the country as a whole, and what their administration, government and lawmakers are doing.

It is so tiresome with these derogatory posts about how Americans aren’t all alike, as if it isn’t obvious.

I don’t think science and religion are comparable, the scientific method is way superior. You can’t pray to god to for actual knowledge, but the scientific method has given us reliable knowledge.

That’s kind of the problem, because they are well educated, and have learned the evidence based scientific method.
So they should be better, the fact that they aren’t, is a HUGE problem.

The worst thing is this actually happens, even ( or should I say especially? ) within the science communities. Which is the place where this absolutely shouldn’t be an issue, it should be the science that talks, but it isn’t. 😳

I can just imagine the two shake hands afterwards congratulating each other on the decision.

Unfortunately I had to switch back to X11 because Plasma on Wayland lacked a feature I need.

Doesn’t work for me in KDE anymore???

It stopped working because I switched back to X11, it only works in Wayland, but I had to switch back, I think it was because some hot keys don’t work and can’t be configured under Wayland. Or at least couldn’t when I configured my system about a year ago.

Yes, and Republicans will do absolutely zero to change that, because abusing the system is one of their main strategies.
And old school Democrats won’t change it either for some reason, despite calling themselves democrats.
So it’s a long process of first changing the Democratic party from within, and then hopefully get the power to modernize democracy in USA.

That the best bet for change, is to become a member of the Democratic party, and help change it from within.
