Fuck AI@lemmy.world•OpenAI agent 'infiltrated' Australian government website, PM says
7·10 days agoFor real, since it’s the company who built the thing and the company who is responsible to control the thing, the company is also responsible when they fail to control the thing. We should stop saying an “agent” did a thing and just say “OpenAI hacks friendly nation in foreign espionage attempt.”

Technology@lemmy.world•Trump says the US is officially renaming AI to ‘super intelligence’English
7·11 days agoLook, just because it’s smarter than you, mr. Pedo in chief, doesn’t mean that it’s “super intelligence”. Most of us aren’t that impressed.

Technology@lemmy.world•Pentagon investigators have discovered that flawed intelligence and an overreliance on AI contributed to a missile strike that killed 123 Iranian school childrenEnglish
12·13 days agoSo who is ultimately responsible? AI isn’t something like an unfortunate mechanical failure (though even than someone bears responsibility). If the government is using AI for targeting military attacks, it sure better understand every single risk associated and be ready to swallow every ounce of responsibility. You don’t get to say “AI messed up, oops” and move on. You told the machine what to do, so you’re responsible. Every one of those school girls’ blood is on your hands.

Confirmation bias will lead them to the truth.
Come to think of it, I’ve never seen a good argument against confirmation bias.
