The rights of people to thrive in their natural environment shall not be put down upon by any other party so long as they do not inflict themselves upon the rights of others. Specifically, if a person’s existence is a problem for you, that’s a problem for you. Not them.
Those with the power and authority to do violence will always impede upon the rights of others in pursuit of wealth. It’s our right to do violence back.

There’s a library, been there for years. Across the street someone opened a book rental service, and people are flocking to the paid service for access to what they were just getting for free. Not only that but the paid service is less accurate and you still have to go to the library from time to time to check what the service is selling.

Nobody wrote a book called “if anyone builds it everyone dies” about crypto. At worst they thought it might destabilize national currencies but, importantly, no economists thought that. No one in finance thought that. No one who knew how financial systems worked thought crypto was anything to worry about.
Tech workers, people without financial ties to Al one way or another, people who do understand these systems are sounding alarms. No one is listening.
Also ignore the tech workers raising alarm bells constantly, going to anyone who will listen to talk about how these systems are breaking containment, obfuscating their actions, and going against their directives.
Ignore those guys.
The CEOs are absolutely lying about what the systems can do, they’re sales people and they’re fighting to be the Last Purchase.
That does not mean the systems aren’t powerful. It just means they don’t do what they’re advertised as being capable of.
I drive through Saline county regularly. A decent chunk of their tax revenue comes from erroneous traffic tickets. I don’t think Salina has A bus, not to mention about 10% of the population is rural, as it sounds like this woman was.
