There have been so many fuckups with ranked choice elections for me to ever recommend them.
Also, Palin acted as a spoiler candidate in that election. Which is still a thing in ranked choice.

I make a nice bacon and lentils soup.
The simple version is bacon, onion, lemon juice, veggie stock, and lentils.
The complex version just adds more veggies, and maybe some whole cherry tomatoes thrown in a few minutes before the end. You then get little pops of tomato flavor.

Tomato soup is good, but have you heard the good news of creamy potato soup?

Ranked Choice does not in fact solve anything and is in fact an ordinal voting system.
It too suffers from Arrows Impossibility Theorem.
Which is par for a system first invented and abandoned in 1785.
Cardinal voting systems are the only way to fix things long term.
Basically ordinal systems are built around the word “or”. You can support A or B and you must choose.
Cardinal systems are based around the word “and”. You can show the exact same level of support for multiple candidates, because in the end if there are two or three good candidates, who cares what order they’re in, just so long as one of them wins.
Approval, Score, and STAR are all good options. STAR was even designed this century with computer modeling and a modern understanding of social choice theory.

The problem is, he squeezed through the primary, then was against doc oz. A man who made fetterman look positively sane in comparison.
The primary system and ordinal voting gave us this jackass, and many more of them.

Merrick Garland was Biden’s fault.
The guy regularly speaks at Federalist Society events.
His name was put forward by Orin Hatch(R-UT) during a time when Republicans refused to even hold hearings for Obama’s court nominees.

That and a coordinated voter suppression campaign that ramped up massively in 2024.

Technically all that means is that the articles of impeachment pass the House.
Trump has been impeached twice already, the Republican controlled Senate refused to convict.

If you care, then fix the page, if not, then let it be deleted.

Just looked at the page itself, and it needs serious work.
It has no formatting, one single reference to a seemingly unrelated youtube video, and that’s it. And that was added a few days ago.
Deletion has been on the table here since 2005, and no one has cared enough to either follow through, or fix the page.
Technically, only the tequila is completely out of place for the time period.
There are native European strawberries, and triple sec is a distilled orange brandy, and there were stills in China as early as the year 1200.
The lime juice comes from South East Asia.
So yeah, replace the tequila and it could almost exist.
See, my dating tip is the exact opposite.

I judge people based on their choices and actions.
Some have chosen to embrace the hatred. And so I judge them for it.
At this point in my life, I’m not interested in attempting to redeem people who have chosen evil.
No. I’ve had several people admit to me that the hatred is the point.
Anyine who still supports this regime is supporting them because of the hatred.

Germany still uses Ordinal voting.
But yes, you also have about 20% of any given population that will openly choose the greatest evil.

Except for the fact that pretty much every single progressive in Congress or on the ballot is in favor of some form of electoral reform.
But like you said, obviously nothing at all can be done, you know, besides voting for them.

This is the way, at least until we get rid of First Past the Post and other Ordinal voting systems.
Score, STAR, or Approval would all make primaries unnecessary, and also reward people for honestly voting their preferences. Which is sort of why there’s so much pushback against them.

They didn’t fuck over Rockstar, they fucked over the devs.
My father watched the snowcaps melt off the mountains, and still supports the sort of people who want more drilling.
