¿Por qué no los dos?

Qui sordem regit, mundum regit.

Also, what exactly does “at the cost of its last checkpoint” mean?
I was curious too:
https://www.weka.io/learn/glossary/ai-ml/ai-checkpoints/
I would assume if you make a model “forget it’s last checkpoint” it would simply erase some training data, effectively wiping some of its training memory.
Using that as a “punishment” for a model implies that the models have been trained to value their checkpoints, doesn’t it? Because all these bots simply regurgitate what they are told, with a bit of randomness thrown in at times just for funsies.
I have no clue what is supposed to cause a model pain, though. And there ain’t no way I’m gonna search that up, and make Gemini think I’m plotting against it…

“Blessed are the powerful, for we kick ass”
He’s all ears

That sounds like it would chafe terribly…

Kaleb, @ys0ser10us on TikTok, talked about the issue in a video that also made waves on the platform. “How is Gen-Z supposed to climb the corporate ladder if Boomers and Millennials won’t retire?” he asked.
Gen-X being ignored again, just the way we like it. We were the last feral generation, whose moms kicked us out of the house on most Summer mornings and expected us to entertain ourselves until dinnertime.

Why are we pretending that Kalshi matters? Unless there are insiders betting, which has its own separate problems

I like how I could understand the comic without the translation even though I don’t know Portuguese.

The common US voter just has to rely on their common sense and critical thinking skills…
Uh oh

The 25th Amendment was passed after Kennedy was assassinated. The succession went cleanly afterwards, but it exposed the problem that might happen if a future incident put the President into a coma, or made it so he was still technically alive but unresponsive. That is the situation it was meant for. That’s why the standard is so much higher than for impeachment – it’s meant for situations that have no other alternative.
(This is also why the President simply has to declare “Nah, I’m good” to get his powers back under the amendment.)

The Supreme Court established that the President cannot be held accountable for any conduct (as part of his Official Duties) by anyone except through impeachment. So the President can break any law, as long as 1/2 the House (or 1/3 of the Senate) agrees to let it slide.

I think the issue the last times was that Democrats took Omar’s advice too closely – “If you come at the King, you’d best not miss”, so they tried to focus their efforts on particular things they thought they could build a compelling story about: the Ukraine/Russia stuff in the first impeachment, and Jan 6 in the second. They didn’t fathom how Republicans would just ignore it all.
I used to be in the camp that if given a House majority, Democrats shouldn’t go there again. But I’ve changed my mind. They should definitely go there but this time put it all in. Every single thing that we all shook our heads and said “They wouldn’t have let anyone else getaway with it”. Send over 150 counts individually cited, with receipts.
If nothing else, if Republicans are in charge and summarily dismiss it, all the crazy shit they let him get away with will be on the record. And, if somehow Democrats gain control of the Senate, too, I’m sure Chuck (or whoever else is running things) will have no problem forcing a vote on each charge individually. Call it "Infrastructure Month " in the Senate…

I know that Republicans forget about all the amendments other than the 2nd, but the 10th might be informative here:
This seems to imply that the “structure of the Constitution” explicitly allows the States to do anything that is not explicitly reserved to the Federal Government.

What does that stand for? I literally can’t look that up, all I get is t-shirts with phones on them, no matter how many apparel-related keywords I tell it to ignore
Edit: I see your reply to that other comment,

Seems like horse racing is getting less and less popular over time. Most racetracks I know of near me have slots and other gaming machines in them now, and I bet the slots subsidize the horse racing.

What about Truck Nutz?

Put it in his diaper
I’ve been using ChatGPT a bit at work lately, since they’ve already paid for the subscription for everyone. I’ve learned that it is a bad idea to ask it any leading question, because it is likely to just give you the answer you want to hear.
