On one side, AI companies running out of cash for their expansion race and looking for excuses to pause everything but more importantly everyone else with them.

On the other side, the only corp that actually sells something, invested shitload of money in the AI hype and needs making profit on hardware at an insane rates to recoup his investments otherwise he’s toast.

An outstanding long-term stragegy, but nowadays, even CEOs don’t give a damn about “long term”. They’ll take their tens of millions of $ compensation package and move on to another company, leaving the mess to the next one.

Capitalism at its top efficiency.
