It’s so sad and depressing that the only thing that moves the needle and makes the average Unitedstater react is the price of gas.
Obviously they’re not invading other countries and killing innocent people for nothing. Who cares about other people, kidnappings in the streets, turning against your allies, as long as they can get cheap gas, there’s no problem.
Maybe the US is due to invade another country with oil, to keep its population happy.
I’m sure she learned her lesson.

I once was a customer advocate for a big hosting company. Most of my supervisors were fine but one kept telling the employees to find ways to reduce claims, even if the customer was right and we didn’t respect our SLAs. I pushed the issue a bit but he ended up replying with the French expression “tu ne vivras pas d’amour et d’eau fraîche” (you will not subsist on love and water), meaning that I needed money, a job, and that I should do what he’s telling me to do.
So I went on my lunch break, composed a resignation letter and sent it. When I came back from lunch, that supervisor was incredulous. “You’re not serious, are you?” It was indeed not a good financial decision for me, but I simply went back to my previous employer, whom I left in good terms.
Now it’s a decadeater, I have another job with a big company that’s trying to force everyone back to the office, even if your doing desk work. I don’t have to deal with this, am overqualified, and my supervisors know that I will probably find something else before being forced into useless commuting.
All this to say, I’d avoid it if possible, but if they are really that short handed, and I keep in mind that this may/will not last, I might also try for a while. It really depends on how much trouble all this would be personally for me.
The Babylon 5 series is such a masterpiece. I watched it several times before finding out more of something said in the first season that’s referred and having an impact later. There’s still holes and threads that are not going anywhere, but the overall is very coherent and well pieced together.
Even the unpredicted events about production have been worked around.
I thoroughly enjoy watching reactions of people watching the show for the first time. The faces they make when they realize something from multiple episodes ago is having an impact, or is being revealed, is priceless.
Unfortunately, aside from the pilot, which is admittedly a bit different, but still mostly explained, I never really got interested in Crusades, and the other movies, so I can’t say for them. But the pilot and the series, mmm, chef’s kiss.
