I feel like this is probably a well-known video that I am just not familiar with, and that the original video is a prank or something that takes some dark turn like the flowers are poisoned or whatever.

How so? The only thing that hints at dating this photo at all to me is the phone that the kid has in the foreground. It does not look like there is a physical home button, which puts it in the “kids using a DSi camera at concerts” era.

also it looks like she’s playing it, not using the camera.

She is obviously not actively snapping a photo here, but she very well may be reviewing a photo that she just took or something. Sure, it is possible that she may be playing a game, but I think it is more likely that she is using the camera.
