I think there was an art exhibit or something where they manufactured some new CRT TVs a couple years ago so apparently it’s doable on the small scale. Biggest problem is the current economy especially in the US simply couldn’t support small scale manufacturers like that long term.
The some reason is probably just that they have a Delorean and want to show it off. Damned near every museum I’ve been to has had at least one random shit exhibit, the natural history museum in my county has a whole ass exhibit dedicated to mining within the county because they just kinda started to acquire old mining equipment at some point.
While it may not be related I have a CRT monitor that did something kinda similar and which I think I know what it is so I’ll give a suggestion. It may legit just be one of the internal boards or whatever equivalent that controls power and may just need to be resoddered or otherwise replaced.
Agreed but I’m talking from the perspective of what a strategist may be considering. Honestly Fable was getting a tad messy by the third game, starting over from scratch but using the original as a framework is probably the only way to do it. I feel like if Bethesda were to do a remake of any of the pre Morrowind games it’d be the same way, also I really wish they would remake Redguard because its such a cool game idea wrapped in a jank fest of an engine which funfact is technically 2d fucken Bethesda black magic.

My problem ain’t spelling, it’s folks trying to “correct” my pronunciation. This is just one of those things wherein it’s basically a representation of me being tired of people trying to correct my dialect cause it’s not “proper” to say I hate that would be an understatement.

Pretty sure you guys were effected by the reromanticized effect, that broadly speaking started around the 1850s or so in England though wasn’t fully finalized until about the 1970s or so. Solder was just one of the more unified examples of a word being effected due to it being rarely used outside of blacksmiths up until the industrial revolution and it being a relatively easy thing to assume the l was pronounced by the developing metal working tradesmen unless the region had the soder or sodder spellings instead of with the traditional spelling.

My point was to moreso directly shit on the English in particular who reintroduced the l pronunciation and indirectly caused a bunch of random fuckers to get pissy with me. In hindsight I probably should specified, regardless I am unfamiliar with any dialect pre 1900s who pronounced the l in solder.

I feel like it’d be better to say that the broad cultural attitude and even aesthetics havent changed too much since the 90s. You could throw me in my normal clothes (Read weeb shirt and surplus camo jacket) and there’s a pretty good chance folks would just assume I’m punk or grunge. While culture has shifted the broad attitudes have really only gotten bleaker if more socially progressive, but here’s the thing the culture that existed when my grandmother was 20 and what existed when my mother was 20 is for more different than my mother and I at 20. Throw me back to 1999 and I would only look different in that I’m a paranoid asshole trying to murder his own father.
Note I’m 26, just using 20 as a baseline since it’s pre 9-11 for my mom and 1976 for my grandmother.
