Guess what? Other forms of organizing and protest will also be opposed. And we should still do them.

If a movement is real and serious that organizing to vote in primaries is really not a big deal. Blue no matter who is really just a last resort and if you don’t want to then you should at least spoil your ballot.

PS anything you consider more effective than voting can still be done btw. Change is not an all or nothing (tho given the mindset around many here they should not be surprised when they really do keep getting nothing)

    Lol this post really angered the dumbest idiots from .ml who think voting is useless and can’t be bothered to spend 5min twice a year to do it.

    They don’t notice that blue states have longer lifespans and more protections for trans people. They don’t see that voting for more left leaning candidates has had real tangible benefits on thousands of lives and that getting candidates which are even further left would do even more good.

    Instead they spend their time organizing for a revolution that isn’t coming like evangelicals preparing for the rapture, with no more ability to bring it about and with less public support.

    Except they aren’t doing that instead of voting, they could take 5 min out of their day to go vote twice a year without getting in the way of their revolution at all. But they don’t even use the bare minimum of effort to do something that has been rigously studied to materially improve lives.

    When Biden made sure trans people couldn’t be discriminated against legally with executive order 13988 they were organizing for the revolution. While Zhoran Mamdani is reducing the cost of housing and groceries they are organizing for the revolution. If the DSA gets enough people in power that funding to Israel cut off they will still be wasting their time organizing for a revolution that never comes. They will still be smugly useless.

      It really does seem that way.

      There is also a weird we are not going to get everything we want right away vibe from their comments. It gives a strange passiveness to someone so invested in the matters.
