Some toilets flush mechanisms require a long hold, some only need a light press. Others, a jab to compensate for a bad lever.
Others need some fiddling for it to go. Some you use your hand, others, you use a square of toilet paper before touching it. And a few you definitely use your foot even though you know it’s wrong, because… ew.
In any case, close the lid first. Aerosol toilet spray is a thing.
This is the correct answer, this also incidentally solves the debate about keeping the seat up or down.
The new toilet i just installed has a whirlpool like flush, theres not even a splash or anything it just whirls into oblivion
Aeresol toilet spray would be something like Lysol.
Aerosolized toilet spray is what covers your toothbrush.
Pedantic Jones, I knew you’d finally show up! :D
It’s not pedantic to learn a new word. Just spreading knowledge for people who read the comments.

I find it pedantic to make a trivial correction, in this case.
The point of using words is to communicate. If the reader understands my point, then all is well. Evidently they did.
If you’re making an significant or interesting correction, then that’s fine with me. You weren’t doing that in this case.
POV: you are not finding the flush button

Is this one of those suction units?
Halloween is coming and I need ideas 🤔
Nope.
I recently replaced the toilets in my house. One I bought new, but the model was getting discontinued and Home Depot failed to fulfill the order for the second. I eventually found another that I think is the same (except for flush lever handedness) at an architectural salvage place and installed it, but it doesn’t flush as strongly as the first or refill the bowl to the same depth. I think I need to adjust the fill valve.
