But moving your car in a manner to threaten bodily harm if they’re to pass, outside of normal operation, is assault or intimidation depending on where you do it.

Damn then there’s like 80 cyclists passing in this video.

This isn’t a rolling barricade it’s just a critical mass of cyclists. When there’s enough car traffic to bring travel to a crawl we don’t call it a rolling barricade we just call it throughput capacity.

Yeah lol they’re wrong, this is just a lot of cyclists using the roads they pay for and are fully entitled to, they don’t need specific state approval or a cop escort.

Exactly, you get met with threats of vehicular assault.

There is no law that says they have to do that. In fact I’m pretty sure Florida law says take the full lane and doesn’t specify which one(s).

This is Florida. There is near zero actual bike infrastructure, little to no bike law, and absolutely no differentiation between sport and casual users. The peloton group up for safety as they approach a narrow causeway, anything else would result in more unsafe situations and up-close conflicts.

It’s Miami so no, absolutely not. And it’d be difficult to have a ride this big on a bike path.

This isn’t Cambodia, it’s Florida.

They’re certainly more used to it.

Why? Bikes are completely legal for road use. Even when there’s more than one of them. Just like cars!

This road is also literally like 1 mile long. In this clip I’m pretty sure the group is approaching the causeway that takes them off the little island they’re touring and back into Miami. Lil Cooper just had to wait like 2 more minutes and he could have preserved his undercarriage.

Makes sense actually, the rules of the road were made almost explicitly for cars and in many cases following all of them can put a cyclist in serious danger.
