Stanford Residential & Dining Enterprises recently used AI to change the races of the students it included in its advertisements. AI was also used to noticeably slim down and alter students’ faces.
On his journey to campus, Stanford student Billy Ramirez ’27 was sent an image he recalled a Stanford photographer taking. Upon closer examination, he noticed that he had been removed from the photo and replaced by a AI-generated black woman.

I agree in general to say Fuck AI for most of it, but in this case AI is irrelevant, it’s just Fuck this school, they would have done the same with Photoshop
This makes them look more racist
The college I went to, I interned and was tasked to shoot photos. They told me to look for blacks straight up.

If someone decided to yassify me before adding my picture somewhere, I think I would take 1d10 of emotional damage.
Kind of reminds me of how my old uni would have photographers running around campus at the start of the semester each year looking for minorities to photograph, but this is so, so much worse.
