It could at least give you the right to rename it to “The Hammer of Excalibur”.
The sword in the stone was not Excalibur. Excalibur was given to Arthur by the Lady in the Lake after the sword in the stone was broken during a duel.
hell yeah this is some good shit
was game of thrones for a young nerd!
There was a 2 part TV movie called Merlin staring Sam Neil and in that retelling the stone was actually the hand of a rock giant who held the sword until Merlin told the giant to let go.
I remember really enjoying that miniseries!
me too and now i need to have it
The stone is but the tip of a buried house-size boulder, which you would be standing on, and therefore unable to lift no matter how strong.
Not with that attitude.
What if you break the stone by pulling?
This is a gag from a cartoon, I just can’t remember it
Puss In Boots 2

I think it was castlevania that had a weapon that was Excalibur with the stone still attached and you could swing it like a regular weapon haha
You gonna argue with someone weilding a giant stone and sword hammer? He’s whatever he wants to be.
I think I’ve seen a webcomic featuring a big dumb barbarian wielding a boulder on a sword like this. The sword was sentient and very frustrated by its predicament. It might have eventually warmed up to the barbarian or guided him through honorable deeds.
You would wield the mace Excalibur.
Honestly, an even more imposing weapon.
Sounds like the kind of chenanigans a tabletop rpg party would come up.
And then the dm lets out a deep sigh, starts going through his notes and decides all his prep work is out of the window (again) so now a random angry mob of high level ogres appears.
Congrats, you invented the Kirkhammer.
Beast hunters in Yharnam: Yes and its pretty sweet
Perhaps you should ask the Lady of the Lake
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of determining worthiness.
hm, probably not. but I think destroying the rock by swinging it against another, harder rock would make you worthy
I’d just used WD-40
Honestly, that’s a pro strat right there.
